I have spent the last few weeks going through my closet and dresser drawers spring cleaning clothes, shoes, and handbags. But, lately, I have found myself making a pile for donating and an even bigger stack of clothes to keep and re-wear. I am not above restyling old and new clothes. Although I would love to have a new outfit for each and everyday day of the week. We all know that the average working family can not and should not frivolous buy items without a plan. I am a budget styling woman who loves shopping and clothes, but I am also am very keenly aware I need an affordable style that looks interchangeable and somewhat stylish. So here goes nothing.

New To Me Second Hand Items & Some Things I Bought Home

One of my favorite things to do on my days off from work is to browse the secondhand store. It doesn't matter if it is a brick and mortar or a mom and pop yard sale. If I know about one, I will be amongst the crowd. Yes, I am that woman who loves junk to treasure finds.

Sometimes I like to get into my car, drive into the city, and second-hand thrift shop until I drop. That's my story, and I am sticking to it.

Funny Photo Booth Pics With A Side Of Motivation

Do you ever look at yourself in the mirror and burst out laughing? Well, that was me the other morning while I was getting dressed to leave the house with my daughter Carey. I found myself bursting into uncontrollable laughter. Not because I was happy more because everything was going in the opposite direction of having a good day.
Motivation- The reason or reasons one has for acting or behaving in a particular way

Judge My Style: In A Short Midi Skirt

Judge My Style
The one thing I have learned at my age is finding the perfect outfit that is age-appropriate can be a little daunting. In other words, if a woman is of a certain age, preferably over age 40, she can't wear nothing over the knee or anything with belly showing. Don't worry, I will never squeeze my body into a crop top unless I lose 20 more pounds.
But, I will celebrate with all the women who are brave to wear their midriffs out and about. As for me today, I am trying to decide if I should strut my stuff in a denim skirt that  I've recently found in the teen section.
So, today, I need you all to casually judge me wearing a cute and sleek midi.

Midlife Notes is where I keep my thoughts and record memories of my life as I age.

A page took straight from the pages of my midlife notes.

Who has the time? Or better yet who has been keeping up with the minutes and seconds on the clock?
That has been the dreaded conversation I have been having with myself for the last few years. As I write in my journal, I am jotting down a few notes. The first ones are facing the fact I need to end my complicated relationship with aging so I can focus on the beauty that is inside and out of this world. And the second one is focusing on the things that matter the most. You know those right now moments the ones you may never get to re-live again.
The one thing I changed this year was to stop making everything so complicated. It was at that moment I began to live and smile again.
