My Old Clothes On Repeat And My Plans To Make Them Look So Fresh And So Stylish

I have spent the last few weeks going through my closet and dresser drawers spring cleaning clothes, shoes, and handbags. But, lately, I have found myself making a pile for donating and an even bigger stack of clothes to keep and re-wear. I am not above restyling old and new clothes. Although, I would love to have a new outfit for each and everyday day of the week. We all know that the average working family can not and should not frivolous buy items without a plan. I am a budget styling woman who loves shopping and clothes, but I am also am very keenly aware I need an affordable style that looks interchangeable and somewhat stylish. So here goes nothing.

Style On Repeat. Restyling The Gently Used Stuff, I Already Have.I have spent the last few weeks going through my closet and dresser drawers spring cleaning clothes, shoes, and handbags. But, lately, I have found myself making a pile for donating and an even bigger stack of clothes to keep and re-wear.

Last week I bought my first pair of tennis shoes with the intent of wearing them for a more casual style, perhaps maybe pair them with shorts and a few monogram t-shirts. Then it dawned on me I do not own one pair of shorts nor do I ever wear or like sneakers.

So, why did I buy them you asked?
Well. its simple although I will be adding a few summer pieces to my wardrobe I have found some useful clothing items to pair with last year spring/summer clothes.

I have worn this black dress featured in my pictures over thirty times and each time I have gotten a different look and feel. I planned to get rid of it this year, but I came up with a quick idea to restyle with my brand new tennis. Since my dress is rather long and loose, I decided to take each side at the bottom and tie in a tight knot. I feel this look went perfectly with my black and white shoes. Its funny I was panicking because I thought I needed a few pairs of shorts and as of now, I am going to style my new shoes with about four of last year's maxi dresses.

I try to buy clothing I can wear in season and out of season winter, spring, summer, and fall. If I purchase a summer dress I want it to be versatile, where I can wear with or without a jacket. A jacket of any kind always changes my look up a bit. I always keep a few simple and not so simple jewelry pieces to mix it up also. I love handbags, so I find adding a new or thrift bag amps up my repeated outfits.
I barely wear prints, but since I have a few, I plan to wear them again all summer long.
After going through my things, I found no need to buy more dresses but instead find new ways to dress them up and down. So, I think I may be keeping a lot of things that I was going to toss out.

I was thinking about the benefits of keeping my clothes. I will always have something to toss on when running errands. Because sometimes I do not feel the need to dress up when I am only going to buy groceries or hang outside with the family. So, adding a new pair of kicks to my wardrobe was just what I needed. Also, I see what I need and don't need to purchase for myself this year. I also plan to wear a lot of casual clothing even my church clothes will be a little more relaxed. Besides the money I save on clothing can be applied to our family vacation and other things I want to do such as frolicking around in the city.

I am a bargain shopper but if I can find a good steal by shopping in my closet. So, why not. Right?
Now, who can't benefit from that type of in-house style?
So, if you see me in the city in the same outfit know I am faithful repeat outfit wearer.

Last, but not least here are a few new purchases I will be adding to my summer stash.
New Arm Candy Bracelets
Neck Candy-Long and Short Necklaces
Ear Candy- Small, large and colorful earrings
Handbags- Preferred cross body ones this year
Colorful Sandals-Preferably Comfortable

Now If I get my body in shape before summer time, I may slide into a pair of booty shorts. You know the ones Beyonce wears when she's bopping around on the stage singing.
But, please don't hold your breath because I don't want to see myself in any pair dead or alive. :) lol lol have a blessed day!

Do you recycle old outfits?

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
