How I Plan To Lose Weight Without Eating All Things Healthy

Can I be entirely honest with you guys? I hate treadmills and gyms. Not to mention I despise giving up my deep-rooted obsession with eating fried catfish, shrimp, sweet potatoes, and string beans just to eat healthy foods.
Getting Active
Can I be entirely honest with you guys? I hate treadmills, dumbbells and gyms just to name a few excuses for not working out.
Not to mention I despise giving up my deep-rooted obsession with eating fried catfish, shrimp, sweet potatoes, and string beans just to eat healthy foods.
No way I am not doing it at all. So without further babbling, I have a foolproof and nonproven way to lose a few lbs without eating all things healthy.
I can't believe we are already in August. The 31 days where I start feeling a change needs to happen in my life. Soon, my birthday will be creeping upon me, and I realize I am getting closer to 50 than ever before.
And lately, I've been feeling overworked, sluggish, tired and yes I have noticed a couple of extra pounds here and there on my body.
Those are just a few things that have caught my attention over the last few months. After a few assessments of my own life, this is what I came up with.
  • I am in the process of readjusting my life and making new habits as I age. One thing I am learning is what I did in my 20's may not work in my late 40's. Yep, I got that revelation last week.
  • Also, I need to find a new hobby. Seriously most days in my week I work, drink lots of coffee in the mornings, grab fast food several times a week, come home, eat again, sleep and repeat. And on the weekends I really indulge in lousy eating habits. Side Note: I will not be giving up my weekends. :)
  • I've started a backlog which is a journal, and I documented my eating for two weeks. I discovered my eating habits and lifestyle has been off track and I saw clearly how I got off balance. My discovery came as a shock because it was not about the food I ate throughout the week. For me, it was about eating and not moving my body around. In other words, I was eating and not walking or exercising at all.
I know deep down I need to make a few changes and I am willing to do that but within reasons. So here goes nothing my plan to lose a little weight without giving up my donuts, burgers and soul food.

Honestly, I am in a different phase of my life, and it's a journey that I know I need to take. To be even more honest I really do not want to do it at all.
But the effort and the accountability starts now and no matter what my BUTT is about to get moving.

The Plan:
  • First I need to rid myself of liquid sugars and specialty drinks. I'm an avid drinker of coffee, kool-aid, and cokes. And I have them several times throughout my day. For the next thirty days or longer,
I am replacing my favorite beverages with regular and lemon water, hot tea, with occasional flavored water. Oh boy, I hope I can sustain this one because I love my morning brew. But I also know I can rid my bodies of toxins just by changing my morning routine. I want to start with liquid sugars before removing my carbs. And you never know I may not give up any slices of bread or butter biscuits. Besides, I am more focused on moving my body rather than eliminating the food I eat. I want to get healthy become a better consumer of food.

  • I hate to admit this one: I do not like running, walking, jogging or mountain climbing. But that is about to change and at my own pace. No matter what is happening in life I need to face the music I am getting older, and I need to grab a jump rope a ball and get to rolling somewhere.

So here's my at home plan: any free time sitting I will use my dumbbells while watching Tv, my back roll ball to do a few sit-ups, and my stretch resistance bands to stand up and stretch before bed. My outside adventures will be announced as I find what works for me and hopefully, it will inspire you as well. But, I add walking around my community is at the top of my list.

  • I want to incorporate more away from my home meditating. It's funny I always get up early before my family does. But now I will make a conscious effort to go on my back porch for a little morning breathing. I know I won't do this every day but one, two or even three times a week will be very beneficial.

  • Also, I know I can do better with my food. Yes, I work long hours, but I have started planning out my breakfast, and I've also come up with a few solutions for packing my lunch. The reason I can't cut out my bread or carbs is that I am on my feet for hours and I have to eat throughout the day.

But, I can give up eating burgers and fries on the run. I am not kidding I would stop at Chick-fil-a- for breakfast, then grab fast lunch and eat when I get home snacking while cooking dinner. Not to mention the in-between sweets I would have all day long. The realistic part is this is my real life. A mom, wife, a working woman and I do not always make time for my personal body and needs. I've invested in a few simple cookbooks that have easy on the go meals.

The last part of my plan is too not create a diet but rather find my perfect balance.
Nonetheless, I am doing nothing that will cause me to stress out. Besides,  I only want to adjust my lazy working woman life into a get moving and making a few better choices that will reinvent my lifestyle.

I know by removing several days a week of bead eating when it comes time for date night and hanging with my girls. I will better enjoy our burger and pizza night. To be truthful, I am never getting rid of ice-cream and other foods that make our Sunday dinners so special. But at least I am cutting out four days of bad eating.

In conclusion: Life is to short not to be indulging health, food and years of happiness.
There you have it my plan to lose a little weight without eating all things healthy.

Whose with me?
