I Made My Own Denim Earrings With Rhinestones
Go ahead and Grab Any Left Over Denim Scraps And Make Yourself A Pair Of Rip The Run Way Denim Earrings With Rhinestones.
I am always in my room, fixing and making stuff. But, today, I made the cutest yet raggediest denim earrings. The best part is I did it for fun, and they just happened to turn out looking fashionable wearable.
First, I bought a spool of fabric that was pre-decorated; I can find this is the fabric section at Hobby Lobby or any craft store. It comes in many textures, from lace with pearls to ropes with charms dangling.
Then I grabbed all the earring components, fish hooks, caps, and flat crimp ends.
I cut off the length I wanted and folded it in half added the crimp flats to end with a hook.
I followed the same method with the end caps, except I added a small drop of hot glue to the inside of caps. This was one of my quickest projects, and I love how they turned out.
In conclusion: I have always wanted to make my own denim earrings. So when I saw the pre-fabric, I knew I had to try it. There is enough on the spool to make at least six pairs of earrings. Also, this idea can be used to create small studs.
Suggestion: Cut around the rhinestone and leave a small amount of denim showing. Apply glue to the back of a flat ear stud and press on. Also, I could have used my own cut jeans and added my own charms, but this was easier and looks better in person.
Would you wear earrings made out of denim?

I just really love how easy you make it look to make these earrings! It's quick, simple, and easy for a person who doesn't normally DIY! I'm definitely going to invest in making my own earrings for Fall time because I want to stand out in the crowd! Ha!

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often. rhinestones
ReplyDeleteFirst, make sure you have a large, flat and clean surface to work on. The last thing you want is to not have enough room or be on an angle and have your precious rhinestones fall off and you have to spend time trying to locate and recover them before the kiddo or dog does.bulk rhinestones
