A Little Hair Review And Detailed Color At Home Process
Over the last few months, I've been in transition with my beauty and style. To be honest, I know it has a lot to do with me being over 40 something, yet I am trying to find that balance in it all.  Can someone say #reallife?
So, on B & B you will see me make a few changes until I find that hair and outfit style I want to rock in the mist of my midlife.
Today, I am taking a big leap of faith by purchasing a lace wig from the beauty supply store. Yes, I want to try something new and different.
I usually order from a vendor online, but in this case, I wanted to try something a little different. I was terrified to bleach this hair. But you will not believe what happened; All the details are below.

For the Fall season, I am going to be trying a few new looks on myself. I will start by wearing wigs and my natural hair sometimes. The latter parts of the summer I wore a short bob style, and I was pleased with that look.
But for the fall I want to play around with different wigs and more hair extensions. Hopefully, by winter I will have settled in on a style. But who cares I am loving playing with my clothing and my hairstyles at the moment. I rarely show my before transformations, but I thought it would be cool to showcase how I color my lace front wigs.

I wear my real hair blonde, but my weaves and extensions I want them black, brown or chestnut. The reason being I do not look good in long blonde hair at all. That is only my personal opinion. With the coloration of today's hair, I am going for an autumn/fall color. I hope it turns out perfect, due to the fact I am using black hair.
I did not buy brown because I did not want blonde coming through, I only wanted to color up at least 8 to 9 levels. The darker colored hair always gives me a beautifully rich and toned color that makes me happy.

The other day I went into the local beauty supply store. I have not been in years because I usually go to the professional beauty stores and use my stylist license. So, I was shaken to see they sell the same hair I buy from vendors offline. Sidenote: The prices were a little higher, but I wanted to try something new. After a few minutes and three wig try-on, I settled for the Wanna Be 100% Indian Hair Full Lace.

I started at the bottom of my hair and proceeded upwards. Sidenote: As a stylist, I would not do this technique on a real human. I am coloring a wig, so I winged it which is wrong if I was doing for someone else.

Because this is a wig, I moved fast and applied the color all over.

I used a wide blow dryer comb to comb so I could have depth and dimension in some areas. This method works well on wigs and weaves.
I also checked my color results every ten to fifteen minutes. Until I got the look I wanted, then I stopped the process.

I followed up with my regular shampoo and deep conditioner. Then I applied a leave-in wig lotion.

In conclusion, I am happy with the hair Wanna Be, and I will purchase again. I also checked they are online, but I was told at the store they are sold in most beauty supply stores that carry wigs and weaves. I will wear my new hair this week.
That is how I colored my new wig for the fall.

What hairstyle will you be wearing this fall/winter season?
