A Little Bit Of Everything
Due to our long extended Labor Day weekend bits and favorites have been moved to Tuesday. Nonetheless, I will have more information to share at the end of this post. Without further babbling here are this week's things mixed with some other crazy stuff including some places to visit in Dallas, Texas.
Before starting the holiday with my family, I had a sudden eczema breakout. My skin was all rashy and itchy. I was feeling miserable, dry and flaky. Nonetheless, I was not about to spend my three days off scratching and digging into my skin while hoping for a little relief.

So, I knew what I had to do, and it gave me quick relief from all that itching and scratching I was doing earlier in the day. My first favorite bit is I bought a fresh stem of aloe vera. This plant is fantastic, and it works fast. I love to place my plant in the refrigerator so it can cool.
After about five minutes I cut a medium size piece, and then I slice it in half.
Before I shower, I will rub the entire side with the gel onto my face and neck.
The coolness calms my irritated skin down and begins to heal itself. I do this in the morning and at night. The aloe vera plant had to be my top mention because it works for me.  If you try this aloe plant, please do not forget to moisturize your skin. I use organic sunflower seed oil that I've found from Whole Foods grocery.

Also, I used this weekend for my family and a few conversations with friends. One thing that was fun I caught up on a few OnDemand Movies. My movie pick for this week is Back To School Mom. It was a relaxing and straightforward movie about a middle-aged woman going back to school and finding out she is in the same classroom with the son she gave up for adoption. I will not give any spoilers lets say it was a good watch while cooking dinner.

If you ever visit Arlington, Texas, please make sure you come doing game season. I had a chance to go yell and scream at the LSU vs. Miami game on Sunday. I am proud to say Geaux Tigers put a good whooping on hurricanes. It was terrible Y'all 33 to 17.

I must tell you the food at the AT&T stadium was mad good.  If you make a game try the Texas Sized Chicken and Waffles. It has two fluffy waffles with a seasoned chicken breast in between, topped with bacon jalapeno cheese and honey spice mayo. No joke it was almost better than the game. You only need one because it feeds two people. The cost was 20 bucks and the drink 17, but it is shareable. That's why it is making my favorites list.

Besides the food Rico and I had the whole night without the kiddos. Now, how cool is that?

I almost forgot I took the girls on Friday to one of our favorite donut spots for one donut each. Friday's is my daughters and my time to bond before going home after work and school.  We do this at least twice a month or when possible.
If you ever visit Dallas, Texas make sure to try Glazed donuts, trust me you will not be disappointed.
My favorite donut is the banana pudding ones. The taste can't be cant be explained; I tried them once and had been hooked ever since.

They also offer vegan, but I prefer all the sugar and butter ones. Since I didn't want milk, I opted to have tea with mine when I got home, and it was yummy.

The crazy part that happened over the weekend was my alone time with my 6-year-old daughter Moriah. I tried to bribe her, and it was an epic fail. I sat down to watch Elmo movie with her. While the film was playing, I opened my computer so I could do some work, And this is what happened.

Moriah: Mom I will share my cotton candy with you if you get off the computer lurking on other people.

Me: Big eyes looking like a deer stuck in headlights. I couldn't help but burst out laughing. The funny things my child says is downright amusing with no merit of truth. Lolol :) ok it may have a smitten of truth.

The moral of the story is weekends are for quality time with the fam and no lurking during those time slots! Ok, I got it now.

Imag:Last, but not least I've gone one month without having any cokes or any sugary drinks until Labor Day. And I can't speak for no one else but there comes a time when I have to have a cold one in my car all by myself. That may be cheesy but is so relaxing when I take all restraints off my life and live. Yes getting an icy cold big gulp is definitely making it to the weekend bits and favorites. Please don't judge me I'm only human. seen first on buts and babbles

So there you have it a few fun and crazy things. Remember life is meant to be filled with joy peace love and happiness. It is ok to celebrate the little things even if it's buying a big gulp and indulging for a moment.

How was your Labor Day weekend?

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
