Spicing Up My eyes a Bit!
I used to think wearing eyelash extensions were only for special events, proms and date nights. And to be honest, that is the only time I would go running to a salon to get mine all glammed up.
But, after starting Beauty school, I quickly learned how easy it is to apply my own eye strips and individual lashes right at home.
A few months back I shared how I add strip lashes at home click below to read more.
How To Apply False Lashes To Wrinkled Eyelids

I use the strip method which in my opinion is the easiest to do. But the individual way lasts the longest when done correctly. When I first did my own, I did it with ease, and now I can apply them in minutes.

First I gather all my materials, tweezers, glue, mirror, lash tray. Then I sterilize any metal parts that will be used close to my eyes. My last pep step is I make sure I wash and cleanse my face making sure I remove any oily residue from around my eyes. Once dry I am ready to apply.

Tip: When it comes to wearing eyelashes choose the style and depth in color desired such as brown, black or deep black. As a beginner, I suggest using the double thread lashes because they are 3 times faster to apply than the one single lashes.

Trick: I like to pour my glue into the unique groves of the package so I can easily dip and apply.

Tip: It usually takes 4 of the double lashes to make a complete look come together.

Last Step: After I finish my install I use my first finger and thumb to press down gently to secure my lashes in place.

There is no eye clean up at all except when removing them. Tip: Be prepared to wear them for at least one to two weeks. Individual lashes are not removed daily like single lashes. So, the wear is a bit longer with this method.

I always have lashes left over so I will repackage and use for any touch-ups.

Things To Know:
Although this method is easy and can be done at home. I always make sure I can use the eye glue, and I still do a sensitive eye test on myself. Rather lashes are self-done, or at a salon, I will always ask about any products that will be used near my eyes.

Fun Fact: Eyelashes are fun and can quickly change the look and appearance of a woman's face. So, finding my own personal style is crucial,

They can also be expensive ranging from 10 to 150 dollars to be applied professionally. When I do them myself at home, I spend around 7 dollars,
#3.99 for lashes
$2.99 for lash glue

Eye Care: I always clean my eyes when removing my make up by using a cotton swab or cotton balls. I never use things that will cause my eyes to burn or become irritated.

Last Tip: Eyelashes come in different textures, sizes, and companies. I suggest trying different ones until you find the perfect lash for your life.

There you have it a quick and easy way to do your own lashes in the privacy of your home. I love it, and I wear them every chance I get. All items were purchased by me for me. :)
