Teaching My Girls The Importance Of Aging Gracefully

Life Lessons
There is one thing I am learning about life, and that is the importance of aging gracefully. Oh, and to take life slow and easy. But, I was never prepared to have that talk with each one of my girls until now. It's funny how in life I can talk about education, getting married, work hard, save money, etc. And all those things are great except time is ticking.
Without scaring everybody the reason for my talk is to share there is nothing to be afraid of at all. Life itself moves faster than a locomotive itself. I find the need to share why I am changing in my life and what I plan to do to keep the laughter in my life going and going.

Image: Woman and two daughters laugh and share stories about aging. To all my daughters it is ok to change your life. When you age, it is entirely possible you will not be doing the things you did when you were in your twenties. So, any mistakes you make now, remember you can change your course at any time.

That will explain the patience I am having at this moment. With age comes a responsibility not to allow life to make you impatient. But if you do find something that places your mind, body and spiritual being in a place of calmness.

The best part about life is it is ok to go in the direction of the wind. The more I look at my life, the more I realize there is a yellow brick road for me to take and learn new things.

I do not want to focus on the wrong side of aging but rather on the side we all should enjoy it while we can.
So, when you see me jumping around and rolling in the grass at the park with you guys. It is for my health to stay and feel young and alive. If you see me playing in my closet and changing my style of clothing. It only means I am trying to keep up with the Kardashians. Lol just kidding. :)

It does mean I want to stay stylish and look good because it makes me feel good. Aging is self-fulling so do not be surprised if I get a new hobby. Just know I am in a different part of my life and I have to learn a few new things.
Please note there are no right or wrong ways to aging gracefully. No two people will travel the same road even if it's your family, best friend or neighbor. And that is also ok, but remember life is what you make of it. So, take life by the horns and make plans to enjoy every moment of it.

If I could change anything about my aging process honestly, I wouldn't change one thing. Because if I did it would alter my life, you guys and the fact that I am still here to witness the growth of our tiny moments together.
So take heed to your life changes and plan if you can but if you can't roll with what you have. Because in the end, your inner self is what controls your aging gracefully and happily. Not the things you will obtain in life.

So, stay on the right path in life but if you swerve a little bit. Except the bumps in the road move on and start over.

In conclusion: Getting older in life has to happen. But it is how we look at it.
Do we see it as a burden? Or can we see it as another way to start a new chapter in life?
Either way, I am looking at it as a chance to do something different every day.
Now that I have explained my version of growing old. Do not be alarmed by the plans me and your dad have. Although I am older than my better half, he has to roll with the punches. :)

So, last but not least we all must get old one day, but that's life!

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit
