Honey, There Are Four Months Left: Morning Babbles!
Ok, so were about six days deep into August. Phew, the time has slipped right by my face. I can't but help thinking about school prepping, packing lunches, and getting up at 4 am almost every morning. Yep, we are a large family, and we have to get up early around this neck of the woods.

Not, to mention taking the kiddos to school and getting back home to get dressed for work.
And now, Dallas, Texas is prepping the city for a heatwave, with temperatures hitting around 107 degrees. Yikes, I am already feeling like a slice of Texas toast. Lol :)

I took most of my lunch break, trying to get my two youngest daughters registered for school. By the time I grabbed a bite to eat; I was all pooped out.
And yes, I really wanted to sit in a corner and complain for the next few days.
But, as I look back over all this week's events, I can't shed one tear for myself.
Because it has been a lot going on in the world, and I realized I was getting emotional about all the world's current events. For respect for the people all around the globe, I will not say which events. But, if any of you watch the news on a day to day basis then you know.

I love writing about all the fun and weird things in life, but I know there are so many people suffering right now. And my heart and prayers are with those that have been affected by all this weeks madness.
Although this year is moving fast, I know I have four months to complete those minor goals I've set for myself.

So, far this week has been all about lessons and things I needed to learn. #reflections

Here are a few things I am writing down in my Midlife notebook.
  • Start navigating the highs and lows in life. Fix what I can and let go of the things that I will never have control over.
  • Pray more: I have been so busy that I have made my prayer time a rush and go in the morning. You know it goes something like this: Thank you, Lord, for waking me up this morning, take care of my family, friends and loved ones. Oh and give me traveling Grace as I head out the door and hit the road. Yeah, I have been slacking in my prayer life. And I know this can happen to the best of us. But, I want to take more slow steps in life with big leaps of prayer that has meaning.
  • Drop the anxiety. Ok, hear me out, please. There are moments when I am overwhelmed with simple things in my life. But there are times when I am not taking care of my mental thoughts, which leads to me being antsy. The news overwhelms me so I can not spend hours watching all the bad things that are happening every day. I find ways to support by donating to cause that will help others.
  • Also, last week, I decided to buy items from three entrepreneurs. I bought two books, and I will be ordering from one more person this week. That may not seem like much that is a way I can do something good for someone else. #supportsmall #supportlocal
I wish everything in life were a simple fix, but unfortunately, that is only in the movies. In the real world, I have to remind myself that I am the captain of my ship. Where I set, the sail will depend on the wind and the direction I shift my boat. Although the year is almost gone, Honey, There are still four months left. That is more than enough time to make a difference in someone's life or just rewrite the ending to your year.

At the end of the day, life is too short not to stop and smell the magnolia flowers.  That is my story, and I am sticking to it.

How will you finish out the remainder of the year?

I plan to finish with a big smile and a happy heart, knowing I have done the best I could with what I have.

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
