Is It Worth Trying On Used Shoes?

Trying On Used Shoes + Growing A Mixed Sustainable Style
The one thing I have learned this year is it doesn't take a lot of money to look cute and fab on a

budget. First, I've been working on a simple thrift-drobe, which is basically a thrifted wardrobe. But, it is not as easy as I thought it would be. I must admit it is a lot of fun trying on second-hand clothing and shoes from my local thrift stores. Since it is getting close to black Friday, I want to step up my shoe game by adding more to my closet. So, come on, let's go shopping and try on some new to me stuff.
Ok, here's the deal I wear a size 9 to 10 shoe depending on the make model and year they were made. LOL, that sounds like I am about to buy a car.
When I go shopping in any store mall or thrift, I have a list of what I am looking for to spice up my wardrobe. Sometimes I get off track, but for the most part, I try to stay on point with what I am looking for.
This time I went a little left field when it came to trying on a few pairs of shoes.
Trying on shoe dazzle shoes from the thrift store
For example, I saw the cutest shoe dazzle shoes with a wedge heel for only 6 dollars. I tried them on, and they were a perfect fit. But, I could barely walk nor stand straight up at all. So, in reality, I knew it wasn't wise to get them. Oh, look at the picture they are so stinking cute. :)

Since I couldn't fit those, I decided to try on some other styles in my size. That is when I saw these high boat style Marc Fisher embellished shoes. Yes, I know it is freezing outside, and I do realize we are smack dab in the middle of winter. But, when I find a quality shoe on sale, I will buy it even if it is out of season.
Also, I got my Marc Fisher shoes from the thrift store for 28 dollars. Honestly, that was a bit pricey, but they were semi-new. The quality was amazing, and there were no snares and tears. So, this was a good purchase.
How would I style them: Most likely with a pair of wide-leg pants and a solid blacktop for a chic rocker look.

What I love about thrifting is you can find those far-out crazy cool pieces that will spice up your wardrobe. I have gotten back into the disco 1980's era with my closet. So, I gravitate towards old school chunky heel boots that can be a staple piece all by themselves.

Last but not least, I barely wear flats, but when I do, I lean more toward the granny shoes. Although I only tried on 10 pairs of shoes today. I think it is still worth trying on used shoes.

But I would like to add: When buying second-hand items, look for bents and dings. Just because something is on sale at the thrift store doesn't mean I should buy it. Sometimes buying used is not a good thing when it doesn't fit or it is torn. Although I love a rugged pair of shoes, they give me vintage vibes.

I will have some styles coming soon. Hold on, can't release everything at one time. How will you be styling it up this holiday season? Would you wear second-hand thrifted clothes?
