Thrift Bits And Favorites: Cowhide Boots, John Lennon Inspired Specs And 70's Earrings
Today is a good day for sharing a few of my new found thrift bits and favorites. How unlikely would it be for me not to?
Naw, I have some goodies that I have been itching to show and tell.
I am listing a few of my findings here on the blog. And the rest of my thrift finds at a later date, possibly in a video.
But, first, let's talk about this cute little orange handbag that I found at the goodwill for 3.99. #unlikelyscore
Ok, let me share all the deets, it is Mossimo, and it is in excellent condition. When I snoop around the thrift stores, I always look for purses. I have an eye for those cute hidden gems. Although I am not a name brand girl, it feels good when I can score some adorable pieces.
I will be pairing this purse with some wide-leg jeans and maybe a slouchy sweater. Oh, the possibilities are endless.
Also, I found the cutest cowhide boots. The price on these was 49 bucks, and yes, I know that was a bit pricey. But these boots are made of real cowhide and genuine leather. I fell in love with that old vintage and rustic look. And the fit was a size 10, which was perfect for me. I live in Texas, we wear boots with everything imaginable from dresses to shorts. So, when I can find any pair of cowboy boots for 50 bucks, I always grab them. Besides, the quality and the craftsmanship is on point.
When buying any type of shoe, I always check the heels, the and the soles. Basically, I check every inch before I try and buy. I can't wait to share how I will be styling my new looks.
I am a collector of earrings. So, when I saw these 70's inspired earrings, I had to get them. They have a few scratches, but that is what makes them look so timeless. So, I had to bring these bad babies home with me.
My favorite find was a pair of John Lennon vintage-inspired specs. I grabbed these out of a collection that featured only famous people vintage items. I love the tiny small circles n perfect condition, and I can not wait to wear them with one of my leather jackets.
Last but not least, I have a fetish when it comes to collecting old records. My spin needle broke on my previous record player. So, I was so happy when I found another one that had a few similarities as my other one. I could have bought a new Crossley, but I wanted an old vintage one. I did not want that new look and feel, I wanted an old styled player. And I found it at the thrift store in perfect condition. The best part is it matches the antique green hues in my bedroom.
Going thrifting has really spruced up my style so far.
Which thrift item did you like? Would you buy these things from the thrift store?
