Call Me Lazy: But, These Five Essentials Are A Must For A Winter With Ease!
Who else gets lazy doing the winter season besides me? No, I am not ashamed to admit any of that. Being a mom, wife, and full-time hairstylist, I can get burned out quickly due to wearing a plethora of hats. Although I am not doing anything, no other
woman in the world is doing daily. It has come to my attention; I need to learn how too slow down and re-energize myself. And this winter I have decided to do just that and without offering any apologies. As I am getting older, I am learning more and how vital it is to take small breaks and time out for myself. I wish I would have taken advantage of my physical and mental space when I was much younger. But, hey, it is never to late too start a new way of thinking and doing things right?
woman in the world is doing daily.
So, today I will share a few of the new practices that have made me look and feel better doing these cold months of dreary weather.
Start The Day With Coffee: Ok, this may sound lame, but a cup of coffee early in the morning helps me every time. Not to mention, I love to get up first before anyone else rises and starts calling my name. Not only do I have coffee, but this is the time I set aside to clear my mind, pray, or just sit still. When it's cold outside, I can never jump straight out of being feeling chipper for work. It has become vital for me to get up and start early in the morning.
Wearing comfy and cozy clothes in the morning also sets my mood for me to have a great day. I notice being cold makes me cranky, so it is a must for me to invest in thick socks and a beautiful robe. Yes, I am lazy, but lounging around in comfortable outerwear always boosts my winter energy. I usually do this on the weekends, because its hard to be in my robe longer than 30 minutes before work. But, its fair game when Saturday evening hits and I can get home and do absolutely nothing. #thatislife
Lately, I have added a few new books to my daily lifestyle, and I am happy to share that with you guys. But, I am not just reading any ole' thing I am focusing my time on ready books by women and people who inspire and motivate.
I just recently got my hands on the #girlboss book, and I can not wait to dive in and learn all about Sophia Amoruso. It takes a lot to be successful as a woman, so I am using any winter downtime I have to learn something new and life-changing. What are you reading this winter? #dotell What inspires you to stay motivated through the winter months
Moving forward, I've been adding self-motivation signage and quotes to my daily life. It's easy to get in the dumps doing the freezing days and months, but self-motivation has really helped me. Every day I remind myself how blessed I am right now. #iwokeup #imblessed #icandothis #iwin #iamawinner
It's the small things that matter the most in life, and I am trying to keep myself encouraged.
Staying hydrated in the winter has been my go-to feel refreshed and full of luster. My go-to drink has been freshwater with lemon, which keeps the toxins in my belly and face at bay. I tend to drink less water in the winter, but over a period, that has been a disservice to the body and my inner pipes working well. So, water is a must essential to doing my winter with ease.
Also, I am always buying things to keep my hair at bay from the brittle winds from the winter. So, it is a must to have an oil or serum on hair for dry hair. I also use body oils and lotions to keep my hands, neck, feet, and back moisturized.
In conclusion: When it's cold outside, I rarely leave the house except for work and groceries. So, it is vital to have a few everyday things at home that will help me relax. Call me lazy, but these essentials are a must-have for my basic life. I am on the hunt for simple things that helps life go in a complete circle.
