A post about what I am currently trying!
Who else loves going inside the cosmetics store for a weekend browse but come out with a bag full of face and skin items.
I know I do it all the time, and I must admit I have a weird obsession with buying moisturizers, face oils, and lipsticks. But on this trip, it was all about grabbing brown and gold-tone eyeshadows, face blenders, and pastel lip colors.

This week I've found three new makeup bits that I am more than excited to wear on my mature skin.

Image: Urban Decay Honey Makeup: Try On

The first thing I bought today was the Urban Decay Honey pallette. Let me just say the colors are amazing for my hooded eyes and for my fair skin tone. I have been looking for an eyeshadow kit that only carried the gold, brown hues. The colors are classic and classy, and I think the shades look very well on mature women. So, when I saw this palette was filled with all my favorite colors, I had to grab two of them. One for me and one for my oldest daughter. I think buying her one will guarantee she will not try using mine.

Out of all the things I purchased today, the honey eyeshadows are my favorite, and I can not wait to do a makeup look.
Currently trying Fenty lipgloss
I must admit I also have a lip gloss collecting obsession, and it doesn't matter which kind I buy. But, on this trip, I re-stocked up on my Fenty glosses in pink, and clear. As a hairstylist, I am always self-aware of how I wear my own hair, and if my lipstick is on all day. Since I am in the business of transforming a woman's look and hair, I want to do the same for myself as well. So, have a lipstick or gloss is vital when greeting and talking to other women about their beauty needs.

As of now, I am currently wearing the Fenty glosses because they stay on for hours with reapplying. So, for the price of 18 dollars, I think they are well worth it, and all the colors are at the top of my favorites list.
Image: Beauty blender sponge : Currently trying
Who else loves a good blender sponge when it comes to applying foundation and concealer? I know I am a big fan of them, because of the sleek feel when applying my liquid makeup. When it comes to my beauty routine, I want to use the best things I can find. It took me a long time to realize I needed to use soft things, and that was designed for sensitive skin.

I love using makeup brushes, but I prefer the squishy spongy feel on my skin and face. Besides, my foundation looks flawless when I use a facial sponge to apply my foundation.

Last but not least, I love wearing red lipstick, but I am so ready for the spring colors to come on in. So, I am currently trying a few light pinks and pale tones on my lips. I never really wear pinks because darker colors make my lips look plump and much larger in size. But, this year, I am willing to give it a new try, and for less than 8 bucks, I am happy to try several colors of the Sephora brand.

There you have it a few new beauty bits I am currently trying. A new makeup look will be coming soon as I try my new palette.

Which one of the products have you tried?

If you try any of them, let me know what you think?
