I finally did something actually fun today. Ha! I stopped complaining about the things I have no control over.

Yes, honey, it was that simple. As of now, everyone in the entire world knows what has and is happening. All of us are on the same playing field, and that is to stay put in the house. No one really knows how long this will last. But, as of right now, I am officially over thinking about tomorrow. I genuinely want to bask in fact, that I am still here walking, talking, and breathing.  My family is whole and well, and this will eventually pass along. If we all do our parts and stay in the house, wash our hands and relax.
Today, I need to go and grab some groceries, so I am getting up taking my shower, combing my hair, and putting on some make-up. Yes, I am. I want to feel alive while out getting the things I need for our home.

Who knew doing such a thing could actually be relaxing, and taking of me this morning made me feel refreshed. No pun intended. But, getting up this morning and going to the local market really was a treat instead of a chore.
Side Note: I changed my mindset from fear, too, let's make this trip a fun outing.

Usually, when I go to the store, I have a list, with things I need to grab for a week of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But, this time, I went shopping purely to buy junk food and lots of it. #noshame

Anyhoot, I thought I would share a few of the things I did while at the store this morning.

Although I am out bopping around, I know I must practice social listening and cleanliness. My hubby (Rico disinfected the shopping cart and our hands. Since it was early morning, there were only maybe a handful of other people in the store, so there was no human contact at all.

I usually never walk around the store looking at random things, but today, I took advantage of my time being out of the house. The first thing that caught I saw was all the Easter items that were placed in the entryway of the store. For a quick moment, I smiled, and I paused to smell the flowers that are in full bloom.
Not to mention, I was jamming to the music being played in the store, which made me feel like shopping. I usually hate music playing in the store, but today the sound was a mood changer, and I loved it.

Also, I felt so happy not seeing any empty shelves for the first time. Everything was stocked and ready for people to come in and buy food for their families. I am so glad everyone has to close early for re-stocking because seeing lots of food helps me with not feeling helpless.
Yep, this little simple thing made me feel better about being home with my family.
So, I stocked on lots of fruit, chocolate pecans, tuna pouches, soups, and crackers.
Although I have been cooking meals big meals, my family wanted a few quick things to munch on. And I see nothing wrong with that at all.

Oh, and I also grabbed myself a few items to take a warm soak bath.
SideNote: When shopping, I need to buy one item that will help soothe the body and mind.
So, go ahead, grab a candle, and some bath beads for a long bath that could relax those muscles.

After leaving the grocery store, I had to stop at my local dollar tree and Big Lots for some more quick items.

Yes, I grabbed some pickles to eat with popcorn. They didn't have any dill pickles, so I got us some bread and butter.

One of my family's favorite things to eat is pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns. So, I had to buy our favorite funfetti pancake mix. Hands down, this mix is the best, and I love it with all my heart. lol #notjoking

I also grabbed chocolate chip cookies, brownie mix, and ice-cream. Honestly, I was so happy to see all the sweets back in stock.

Getting out of the house for 30 minutes really was good for my mental soul.

Now I feel so much better, and I can see things a bit clearer now that I stepped outside the house.

In conclusion: I am not oblivious to what is going on around me. But, I want to focus on the fact that I am still here. And that means I must live in the moment because, in a blink of an eye, things can change. Besides, I need my energy to keep my small child from being worried about something she can't handle. And I want my oldest daughters to see how we have to keep moving despite what is happening around our world.

My goal is to stay sane by looking at the glass half full and not half empty.

And by doing so, I was able to get up clean myself up and re-charge my mental space for the better.

And guess what my family is up feeling happy and moving around as well. So, my mission was accomplished.

What are you guys doing to stay upbeat on today?

Please share we all could use a beak of happiness right now.

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
