Hobby Bits: Oh Hey Girl, Let's Get Frugal And Make Some Junk!
Go ahead, grab yourself a glass of sweet Lucy lemonade, and meet me at the table for some babble and stack of junk making. This project is all about looking stylish on a frugal budget. And you guys know I am

about that frugal life when it comes to making my jewelry. Whenever I can save a coin, I am down like two flats on big momma's Tonka truck.

Since being in isolation, I've been keeping myself busy by making things with items I have already at home. Most people who know me already know how I love taking junk and turning it into cute little bits. I guess I can say it's one of my favorite hobbies at the moment.

Since being home this week, I've been doing a whole lot of decluttering and especially my jewelry pieces. I recently found this old beaded necklace I once made and never wore. So, I decided to take all the beads off and turn it into some new arm candy bracelets.

First, I took The necklace apart bead by bead, then I grabbed a spool of stretchy cord that I had leftover in my jewelry kit.

My intentions were to re-make the necklace but with fewer beads attached.

But I came up with another idea that was even better than my first thought.

Since I love bracelets, why not make more but with a vintage twist.
Vintage Pendants that will be used to make bracelets
Making bracelets is one of the easiest DIY projects on the planet. First, I choose the bead style and the type of charms I want to use. The beads I am using for today's hobby bits all came from the craft store during a 50% off sale. I found these two lady vintage pendants there as well.
But, any type of charms will do the trick.

First, use the stretchy cord to bead. Remember, it takes about 16 or 17 beads to make one standard bracelet. I always check my sizes before making my final knot.

After I make my knot, I just continue making bracelets until I run out of beads.

Then I will Pile them all up my arm until I am satisfied with the look for the day,

Repeated Steps: Take stretchy cord slide through the hole of the beads, then tie is three tiny knots. Yes, it is that simple and easy.

In conclusion: What makes this project frugal is I am using things I already have around my home.
Since I was clearing out my personal space, due to boredom. I decided to make something new that only cost a few bucks. I am so happy I took something old and created something new. So, if you have an old necklace or bracelet at home. Do not toss it out, just break it apart and make yourself something brand new. I am about saving money, and when I can cut a corner here and there, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Last but not least, I am using my time down in isolation to find innovative things to do and recreate. To be honest, beads are something most of us have at home. This project can also be used with loose chains that are lying around the house.

Even if I did not have any leftover stretchy cord, I would have used a needle and thread and made myself a three-layered necklace. Yes, I am trying to be that creative while in isolation.

Well, there you have it, a frugal project made entirely out of junk from around my home.

Would you wear twelve stackable bracelets at one time?
