Second Hand Shopping: Easing Back Into My Slow Fashion + More Things!
Easing Back Into My Slow Fashion + More Things!

Oh, how I love making lists, joy list, wedding list, dream list, break up list,

and shopping list. You can say I am truly dramatic when it comes to making a list about any and everything. Especially when it comes to buying clothes and decor for my home.

So, you can bet your fart tooting behind, I have a plan ready for the day of being released out of isolation.

But one thing I am eager about, and that is easing back into my slow fashion and decor routine.

Before all this world stuff happened, I was on a roll of shopping with more common sense. Most of you have been following my ups and downs of coming out of a style rut. And for the most part, my new shopping rules were helping me out severely.

But, I must admit being home for the last 7 weeks has gotten me off my budget and strategy. Never fear I am at the table working on a new method and plan to get back and stay on track.
I know shopping for clothes is not that important at the moment for people. In my opinion, it should be but within reason. Almost two months ago, we were smack dab in the center of winter.

Now we are in Spring, and all stores around the world are still closed or operating only about 25%.
So, guess what most of me and my peeps need summer clothes, or we will be styling winter items in 100-degree weather.

Now, I am not one to complain or rush out and buy unnecessary clothes. So, I've come up with an excellent idea of easing slowly back into my fashion and other needs.

And I am super excited to share my ideas with you guys.

First, I will be cleaning out my closet and getting rid of all the things I know I will not be wearing. Yes, I will be tossing out anything that is ripped, torn, or overly worn. The items that are still in good condition I will be donating to my favorite charity shop, Goodwill, Salvation Army, or Homeless Shelter.

Then I will be packing down all my winter jackets and dresses with sleeves. No, I have not done that as of yet. But, it is on my to-do list this week.

Moving forward, I am sitting down tonight and making a list of all the things I want to purchase.

On my list is all secondhand stores first, then sales racks. I am on the hunt for anything I can find on clearance racks. Just being honest and frugal about it. So, yes, I will be at the malls and retail stores looking for the deals and the thrills.

I know my style and what I am looking for, so if I can find it online, I will shop there as well.

Side Bits: When shopping, I make a list of the things I want right now. Since summer is here, I am only focusing on quick, comfortable clothes that I can re-wear multiple times. So, shopping secondhand is on my top radar. My focus is centered around finding super-bright clothes this year that I can mix with my grunge style. So, I am on the lookout for glasses, headbands, bracelets, and scarfs.

Honestly, I am still working on my list, and I have been tweaking my ist over the last few weeks. My goal is to ease back into fashion slower than I did before. I used to just pick up and buy things at random, but 2020 has taught me a lesson about wasteful.

My money is going to be on a mission, and I am only going to buy what I actually love and will wear.

If I had one penny for all the times I've bought stuff and never wore it, I'd be super wealthy today. So, no more wasting money on things just to have something.

Last but not least, I was in the middle of decorating my room space before all stores closed. I want to get back to it when possible. The best part about shopping slowly is that I can find unique pieces from a decade ago. And for some reason, I love the vintage, gothic and grunge look with color. For some odd reason, orange, black, and yellows just look good to me. It may not make sense, but seeing it come together is fascinating. The first project I will be tackling is my bookshelf from my last thrift shopping adventure.

I have high hopes that I will find all the things I am looking for if I take my time and get it done.

In conclusion: I know most people may not be ready to get out and shop. That is why I am jotting down notes of much-needed items for this summer.

There you have it my mini list of how I will be easing back into slow fashion and more?

How will you be easing down the fashion store aisles?
