Mama-MeMaw-Mom-Mother-MaDear Whatever!

Mama-MeMaw-Mom-Mother-MaDear Whatever!
So, that time of the year has come near, and most of us are still in isolation. Yes, I know this Friday; we all should be prepping for phase two of going back to work.  And that happens to fall right

on the weekend of mama-memaw-mom-and madear's mother's day. Whatever we all call our mother's this weekend is all about them and making them happy. I am being optimistic that the world will be ready to come out and play with all the rules of being at least 6 feet apart. No matter what we call our mom's we know this year 2020 we can not be close to them. So, I've come up with my own unbiased Mother's Day gift guide, and I know it will be family approved.

Honestly, I would love to load up my family and friends so we could meet up and have brunch in the city. Oh, how fun that will be because I know my hubby and kids always shower me with love and gifts. Besides, it's just our tradition to meet up and hang out on that day.

But, let's be clear this year has changed; therefore, my plans must change as well. But, I am going to get creative and plan things just the way I want them.

First, I do not want this Sunday to be a burden on no one in the family. We can not hang, and that is just the way it has to be for a minute.

So, as for me and my home, I plan to cook us up a feast for our own at home brunch in the house. My menu is leaning toward making a big ole' pot of gumbo with sweet buttermilk bread. Trust me, it will be simple with just two dessert sides and sweet Lucy kool-aid. I am a country gal, and it doesn't take much to satisfy me.

My main concern is to sit down, relax, and be happy at the moment. Now I did come up with some other ideas that will be quick and easy for those special people in our lives.

Zoom: I was thinking about making a dancing video for our family.

DIY: Make homemade jewelry but keep it simple

Make a Youtube video and sing to them for views. (Ummm that may be stretching it a bit far) But hey, I'm just thinking outside the box.

And if all else fails, the celebration will continue when Christmas comes this year. Now that sounds like a plan, either way, I want it to be stress-free. And I know most parents would want the same thing.

I've learned so many lessons while in my downtime, and my life has changed for the better. I can see clearly where I need to make some changes, and I am so happy about that.

In conclusion: At the end of the day no matter what we call our mother's, mama's.mom.memaw or ma-dear, the love from that woman will still be the same. So, what we can't hang with them at this moment, but thank God for google duo and zoom. And those are the moments I want to cherish and hold dear to my heart. So, what I can't hang out in a large crowd this weekend. I'm just thankful I am still here, and I am really excited about cooking for my own Mother's Day. Besides, it's the simple things that really matter the most. So, if you can call your mom and just sing Happy Mother's Day and watch how the smile through the phone will light up a room.

Honestly, I am super excited about being home in my PJ's cooking, eating, and playing board games with my family. Because I am truly surrounded by peace, love, and happiness. And quite frankly, I wouldn't trade that for all the tea in China.

So, to all the big mama's and other mama's around the world, Happy Mother's Day from my family and me!

Hold tight because the best is yet to come:)

How will you be celebrating your Mom's Day?

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
