Everything But The Basket!

Everything But The Basket!

I do not know about you, but I am so happy to see it is Monday. Yep, I am off, and I plan to do nothing but what brings me the absolute most joy. But first, I must share some of my pretty cool bits and favorites from my weekend. Who else had a free Saturday and Sunday just to do nothing but eat, lounge and have fun with the family. I even got a chance to make some videos that will be going up pretty soon.
Everything But The Basket!
Anyhoot, I spent another weekend looking for some of my favorite summer accessories. You know those items that look good with any outfit you wear. And I think I may have hit the jackpot in the scarf section of the store. I know wearing scarves every day can be annoying, but I can not wear a wig. Speaking of wigs, I did buy a curly bob one with a split, and I looked a hot mess. I wanted to try something different, but honey getting out my lane made me look lame. So, yall will never see that wig on my head. That is the main reason why I love wearing beautiful scarves even if they come from a thrift store.

SideNote: If you are a scarf collector, pay close attention to the prices and look for any snares and tears. There is nothing worse than finding a tiny hole in a scarf before washing and drying it. The hole will get bigger, and the scarf will be destroyed. Also, I used to find adorable vintage scarves for under 5 dollars now, I see price tags as high as 20 bucks. What! Like is it new, possibly never been worn before? I do not know, but some of these thrift stores have gotten off track a bit! Ha! But I will still buy one for the team. Especially if it is cute and stylish. Do yall copy that:)

Nonetheless, I did find at least three scarf possibilities to style up some summer outfits. Although I will be wearing a few baby doll and skater dresses all summer. Ha! Wait for it:) But how adorbs is this little blue boho headwrap picture above. I will be on the lookout for some fancy blue sunglasses this season as well.

Then I found an orange and a dark black and pink one all in one basket. I guess I can get my Marilynn Monroe vibes going with these two scarves. I find it fun to play up my style with scarves because I think it adds a bit of sass to any style. Would you agree?

If you are wondering when I buy my headwraps, I have to soak them before wearing them. And I use fabric softer when placing in my dryer. In all, they look fantastic, and I am glad I found such beautiful pieces this weekend.

In conclusion: My life is centered around documenting all the things that bring me joy in the middle of life. And although theft shopping may seem lame, I prefer that any day over cooking and cleaning. Those things are a must, so when I have free time, I want to be out and about doing something other than being at home or at work. Being a hairstylist is fun when making money, but when I am off the clock, I want to find something other than catering to other people to enjoy. As I am getting older, I am in pursuit of finding the real meaning of living joyfully. And what is good for my neighbor may not be my jam. But, I do realize my life is more than a 9 to 5, shopping at the grocery store and cooking dinner.

At 40 something, what is my ultimate goal? And after years of searching, I think I may have found it. But stay tuned I can not share until later. But, I do believe none of you will be surprised. My family has already informed me it has taken to long to dive into this next chapter.

So, with that being said, I hope you all enjoyed today's babbling post. But, I also hope you find that one thing that brings you unparalleled joy. Because when you do, the whole world will know. And that my dear no one can take or duplicate—the true meaning of being happy and joyful.

How was your weekend? Do tell because I am so nosey.

What brings you joy: Because honey 2020 is not over yet?

Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
