Hey Ya'll: Making Grunge T-Shirts And Trying To Stay Sane!
Hey Ya'll, I am just taking a break from all the hustle and bustle of life. So, I can make a few grunge t-shirts for fun and staying sane. I know when most people think of grunge, it's associated with wearing all black, torn tights and repping rock
music all day long. But, I figure it depends on the person and what era they were born into.

Ozzy Osburn would be a perfect example of rock and roll grunge. Yet, he was all out with black and metal everything. I beg to show a softer side of wearing my grungy and gothic looks. I am a woman who loves lots of weird and unique decor and things. But, when it comes to my clothes, I love a mix match of wearing black clothes with a don't care attitude. Since we are getting close to the summer, I am leaning more toward loose and baggy clothing. For me coming out of a style, rut has changed my whole life. I have been taking the fun route to play with my clothes and my weird sense of style. When I think of wearing grunge, I lean more toward the vintage and classic side of it all. Since wearing black is the base, I think it's ok to jump around by paying with other textures and styles along the way.

Since most of the stores are clearly still selling long sleeve clothes, I've decided to take matters into my own hands. By, cutting up a few of my old t-shirts that I  have lying around. And I do not know about you guys, but I can use a project right now that will help keep me sane at the moment.

So let's jump right on into this quick and easy DIY grunge t-shirt blog post on today. Also, at the end of my babbling, can you please tell me which one was your favorite?

The first thing I did was cut my t-shirt in half. Yes, that is the easiest part when it came to making what is now my two favorite grunge shirts.

Then I cut the neckline open veering in a circle motion. After that, I proceeded the cut the back straight across.

The last part I did was cut off the sleeves before stretching each piece until the fabric rolled up.

Here is a quick look at the first t-shirt I completed.

I couldn't decide if I wanted to wear my shirt off the shoulder or allow both shoulders to show. Either way, I am happy with the outcome, and I can surely wear them both ways.

The second t-shirt was even easier as I followed the same method as the first t-shirt. Except I cut it straight up for a fringe look. I also cut off the neckline then cut a deep V-neck into my neck area.

There you have two completely different grunge-inspired t-shirts that are perfect for summer wear.

In conclusion: Making t-shirts is nothing new in the fashion world. I just find it relaxing to do at home when trying to stay sane. Yes, when I am bored I always find something to do that will make me happy. Having a hobby does that for me, after being at work all day, I find joy in taking things apart and making something else. Although I wouldn't try to sell these grunge t-shirts, I think they look cool enough to wear out for a quick brunch with my best friends. Yep, I am that cool gal that will wear something I ripped up at home and call it style.

So, if you are bored at home go ahead and tear up a few shirts and rip those jeans up. Honey, because any and everything is considered fashion right now.

Hope all is well and I will see you guys in my next post.

Until Then See Ya In A Bit!
