A New Orange Dress And Some Good Ole' Anniversary Vibes!
A New Orange Dress And Some Good Ole' Anniversary Vibes!
I can't believe we are already nearing the end of July. This may be the cheesiest post I've ever written. :) WOW! Time is flying by faster than superman chasing a locomotive. I thought by now the world would be operating at 100%, but unfortunately, we are not at this moment. So, all my birthday and holidays have been at home this year. And I am ok with that because I have truly learned how to get creative. For birthday's we have done seafood boils, taco spreads, and videos singing to one another. Being creative is an understatement in my house at the moment.
Usually, when my birthday or anniversary rolls around, I have a mini getaway planned. Nothing big just jump on a plane a go to Las Vegas or even back to my hometown in Louisiana. Those are the places where I love to go and relax with family and friends. But this year, due to being on 50% up and run hubs and I decided to do something we did when we first met and was much younger. Ain't no isolation gonna hold us down. So, before I jump into our good ole' anniversary vibes, let me tell you about this little 13 dollar dress I found off the clearance racks of Target.
For the accessories, I decided to pair with a thrift blue and orange scarf along with my same cat-eye glasses. Then I popped on a pair of secondhand earrings that were lightweight yet bold enough to add spice to my style.
Yes, honey Tarjay has come through with the slip-on dresses. And I must admit I am here for the colors and price points as well.
This year with my style, I want to wear loose-fitting dresses that require very little time to get dressed. That is why I grabbed this orange one straight off the racks. It is a solid color, and it looks good styled with all my accessories. I think it gives me a cute and colorful grunge look.
You already know I made my own arm candy bracelets that I paired with a vintage ring.
The booties are from The Buckle, and I think it paired amazingly with my vintage 70's message handbag.
There you have it a quick outfit of the day. Would you wear this grunge look?
Since it was 103 degrees here in Texas, I knew I wanted to eat simply for lunch. Only because most restaurants were drive-thru. So, the hubs and I decided to grab one of our favorites from our first dates.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE!
The vibes couldn't have been better, although it was hotter than cooter brown outside. But we really wanted to do something memorable. And I think we nailed it.
I even made room for a cotton candy ice-cream cone. Now, how fancy is that? We spent two hours ridging around, eating, and laughing at life. Although we are in a pandemic, we are learning to keep a little normalcy going.
In conclusion: Life is changing, and I am learning to roll with the tides. Although we canceled our trip, we still had a wonderful time with one another. At this point, life is to short not to be enjoying simple moments.
So, here's to wearing cute orange dresses and enjoying small bits of birthdays and anniversaries.
How are you celebrating small bits of life?
Until Next Time See Ya In A Bit!
